We Are the Presslings
Expanding Thought, Finding Meaning
We are not gathered by trend or temperament, but by conviction. Cyril Applebaum, Felicity Sedgwick, Percival Anson, and Rupert Brimble—four voices, one fellowship—formed not to entertain, but to exhort. We write because the age is confused, and the Word is clear.
We belong to Pressing Words, an online periodical devoted to truth and unflinching theological clarity in an age of moral confusion. Like the noble Bereans, we resist distortion of God’s Word and Order—confronting deceptive narratives not with novelty, but with timeless truth.
Our work is typological and editorial. We test everything. We write with pastoral posture and unflinching tone. We examine cultural, theological, and ecclesial narratives with exegetical precision and journalistic clarity. We do not speculate. We do not soften. We do not apologize for truth.
We are governed by a covenant: truth over trend, clarity over compromise, holiness over relevance. We reject euphemism, resist drift, and expose fog. We write for those who love the Word enough to test every word spoken about it. We write for those who are weary of distortion and hungry for meaning.
We are not detered. A conviction is growing. And together, we press truth into the cracks of cultural decay and form readers in the joy set before us.
We are the Presslings. And we write because the Word is worth it.
